Wong Yau-Nam, portrayed by Cheung, used to be a young man who practiced silly kung-fu stances and unfairly bullied children in the neighborhood. Now an incompetent adult in a crappy real estate job, he is constantly berated by his boss and eventually gets sent on a futile mission: to secure a property for rural redevelopment. That property happens to be a tea-making workshop run by martial arts masters Dragon (Chen Kuan-Tai) and Tiger (Leung Siu-Lung), under the guidance of their master, Sifu Law (Teddy Robin Kwan), who has been in a coma since a legendary dual fight several years ago. The workshop used to be the gate of Sifu Law's martial arts school, named "Law's Gate," and Dragon and Tiger are under pressure from thugs demanding compensation for their actions. Cheung immediately sees himself fitting in with Dragon and Tiger and, as something about the noble struggle of the old dudes resonates with him, he decides to join them.
